Which system do I need?
Use this as a general starting point, not a self-diagnosis. Water problems often overlap, so a professional test from our team is the best way to know what you need.

|---|---|---|
| White scale, spots on dishes, soap won't lather | Water softener or salt-free water conditioner | Water softener · Salt-free conditioner |
| Pool or bleach taste and smell, dry skin after showers | Whole-house chlorine filter | Whole-house chlorine filter |

| Black or brown stains (well water) | Manganese filter | Manganese filter |
| Rotten egg smell | Sulfur filter | Sulfur filter |
| Nitrate in your well test | Whole-house anion exchange (RO as a drinking-water option) | Nitrate removal |

| Blue-green stains, metallic taste (low pH / acidic water) | Acid neutralizer | Well water treatment |
| Sand, grit, cloudy water | Whole-house sediment filter | Well water treatment |

| Not sure what's in your water | Free in-home water test + well testing | Free water test |
These are common signs only, not a diagnosis. The same symptom can have more than one cause, and the right system depends on what's actually in your water. Before choosing a system, we highly recommend a professional water test and recommendation from our team. Call (209) 645-1151 to schedule yours.
City water vs well water
City water in our corridor is usually treated for safety, but it can still be hard and taste of chlorine or chloramine (chlorine combined with ammonia). Stockton uses chloramine, and Patterson's water is very hard. Most city homes need hardness and taste treatment, sometimes plus RO for drinking water.
Private wells around Ripon, Hughson, Patterson, Turlock and the rural edges of Manteca and Stockton are the owner's responsibility to test and treat. Wells can carry iron, manganese, sulfur, nitrate, arsenic, sediment, low pH, or bacteria, and these need to be identified before anything is installed. We install the water treatment equipment and its parts, such as bladder tanks and repressurization pumps. We don't work on well pumps. Well water treatment
How we work
- Free in-home water test. It includes hardness, precipitation, chlorine and soap testing, and more. For wells, we also offer specialized testing on site and through state-certified labs.
- Plain-language results. We explain what we found and what it means for your home.
- A written, no-pressure estimate. We only recommend what your results call for. That could be one system or a combination.
- Licensed installation. We install the system ourselves as a C55 water conditioning contractor.
- Ongoing service. We handle filter changes, salt, checkups, and repairs.
Combining systems
Many homes use more than one system, and the order matters. We place each piece of equipment in line so it helps the next one work its best.

Water treatment FAQs
Which water treatment system do I need?
It depends on your water. Our free in-home test checks hardness, precipitation, chlorine, soap and more, and we recommend only what your results call for.
Can you combine a softener, filter and RO?
Yes. Our softener and salt-free systems already combine softening or conditioning with chlorine filtration in one tank, and many homes add an under-sink RO system for drinking water.
Do you work on private wells?
Yes, on the water treatment side. We treat iron, manganese, sulfur, nitrate, arsenic, sediment, low pH and bacteria (UV), and offer specialized well testing on site and through state-certified labs. We install treatment equipment and its parts, such as bladder tanks and repressurization pumps, but not well pumps.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available, including 0% for 21 months on approved credit (OAC). See terms (opens in a new tab)
How long do these systems last?
Softening and conditioning systems typically last 15–20 years, and RO systems usually 10–15 years, with regular service.
Will you need to change my plumbing?
We find a spot where we can tap into your main water line so the whole home gets treated water. We plan the location with you during the free water test.
Do I need to be home for the install?
Yes. You or a family member needs to be home to let us in.
What areas do you serve?
Manteca, Stockton, Patterson, Lathrop, River Islands, Hughson, Ripon, Turlock, Modesto and nearby communities.
