1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer your questions, test your water, quote and install systems, and service your equipment.
Information you give us
- Contact and request forms. Your name, phone number, email address, street address or city, and anything you type in the message (for example, your water concerns or the system you have now). Website forms are processed by Formspree, Inc., a third-party form/service provider that delivers submissions to our business email inboxes (Gmail). Formspree also receives technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and keeps a copy of submissions in its system under its own retention settings. The forms include a hidden spam-trap field; we do not use them to track you.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and message through our email provider (Google Gmail).
- Phone calls and text messages. Your phone number, the content of your messages, and notes our staff make about your request. Calls may be answered by our office staff; we do not record calls unless we tell you at the start of the call.
- Appointments, estimates, and installations. Your service address, the equipment installed, water test results for your home, scheduling details, and payment records for work we perform. We keep these records on paper and in our office phone's calendar; we do not use a customer relationship management (CRM) database. Website form submissions and emails are kept in our email accounts.
- Reviews and feedback you choose to send us or post publicly. With the reviewer's public display name, we may quote reviews that were posted publicly on Google.
Financing. Financing is offered through Enhancify, a third-party service that connects you with lending partners. When you apply, you give your application information (which can include financial details and identifiers such as a Social Security number) directly to Enhancify and its lending partners, not to us. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies. We may receive limited information from Enhancify, such as whether you were approved, the amount, and the plan, so we can complete your project.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information. Like most websites, our hosting provider's servers automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and date and time of visit. We use this to keep the Site running and secure.
- Cookies and analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. GA4 sets first-party cookies (named
_gaand_ga_<ID>, which can last up to two years) and uses similar technologies to measure how visitors use the Site, for example pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address, and whether someone clicked our phone, text, or contact form buttons. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use this information in aggregate to understand and improve the Site. We use GA4 for measurement only: we have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, we have not linked GA4 to advertising products, and we do not use analytics data to identify you personally. We do not use advertising pixels (such as a Facebook/Meta pixel) or session-recording tools. Google's use of this information is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings. - Embedded content and third-party tools. Some pages include content from other companies: an embedded Google Map (on our Home, Areas We Serve, and Contact pages) and Enhancify's financing application and payment calculator widgets (on our Financing page). When a page with that content loads, those companies may receive your IP address and browser information and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Information from other sources. We may receive your information from a person who refers you to us, from Enhancify (as described above), or from public review platforms such as Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Nextdoor when you contact us through them or post a review.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your calls, texts, emails, and form requests;
- schedule and perform free water tests, estimates, installations, maintenance, and repairs;
- send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service follow-ups;
- process payments and help you complete financing through Enhancify;
- keep records of the equipment we installed and the service history for your home, including warranty and manufacturer support;
- improve the Site and our services;
- protect against fraud, spam, and misuse, and keep the Site secure;
- comply with law, including contractor licensing and tax recordkeeping requirements.
Sensitive personal information. We do not ask for sensitive personal information (such as Social Security, driver's license, or financial account numbers) through the Site, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you or for any purpose other than those permitted by California law (for example, providing the services you request or processing a payment you make).
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
We disclose personal information only:
- To service providers who help us run our business and are allowed to use it only to provide services to us: our website host; Formspree (website forms); Google (Gmail email, Google Analytics 4, and Google Maps); our phone and mobile carriers; and payment processors.
- To Enhancify and its lending partners, at your direction, when you choose to apply for financing.
- To equipment manufacturers and distributors when needed to register a product, process a warranty claim, or order parts for your system.
- When required by law or to respond to valid legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, employees, or the public, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business (in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information).
4. Text messaging (SMS) terms
- What we text. We send only transactional, informational, and conversational text messages: appointment reminders and confirmations, scheduling and service updates, and replies to questions you text us at (209) 821-4777. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Consent. When you text us, or give us your mobile number and ask us to contact you or schedule an appointment, you agree that we may text you about your request, appointments, and service. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies based on your requests and appointments.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP (or "unsubscribe," "cancel," or "quit"). We will stop sending texts to that number, and you may receive one message confirming your request. You can still reach us by phone at (209) 523-5921. To start receiving texts again, text us at (209) 821-4777.
- Help. Reply HELP and we will respond with help, or call (209) 523-5921.
- Website forms. If you give us your phone number in a website form, you agree that we may call or text you about your request and appointments. These are not marketing messages.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- No sharing of mobile information. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with the phone and messaging providers that deliver our texts, and only for that purpose.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide service to you, honor product and workmanship warranties, and meet our tax and legal obligations (including contractor recordkeeping requirements). When it is no longer needed, we securely dispose of it, for example by shredding paper records and deleting electronic entries. Paper records are stored securely at our office. In practice:
- Inquiries and form submissions: kept while we respond and for as long as useful for follow-up on your request or later service.
- Customer and service records (equipment, water tests, appointments, invoices): kept while you are a customer and as long as needed for warranty support and tax and contractor recordkeeping.
- Text messages and call notes: kept as long as needed to handle your request and appointments.
- Website analytics data: kept according to the data-retention setting in our Google Analytics account (Google offers 2 or 14 months for event-level data).
- Formspree copies of form submissions: kept according to Formspree's settings for our account.
6. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). We honor these requests from California residents.
- Right to know. You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collecting it, the categories of third parties we disclose it to, and the specific pieces of personal information we hold.
- Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for warranty, tax, or licensing purposes, or to complete work you requested).
- Right to correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still contact us at any time.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require offering this right. Financing applications, which can include sensitive information, go directly to Enhancify and its lenders.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you used your privacy rights.
Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months, with the categories of recipients we disclosed them to for a business purpose:
- Identifiers (name, postal address, phone, email, IP address): our website host, Formspree, Google (Gmail, Analytics), phone carriers, and payment processors; Enhancify if you apply for financing.
- Customer records (service address, equipment, payment records): payment processors; equipment manufacturers and distributors for warranty claims.
- Commercial information (products and services purchased or considered): Enhancify if you apply for financing; equipment manufacturers and distributors.
- Internet or network activity (pages visited and interactions with the Site): our website host, Formspree, and Google Analytics.
- Approximate geolocation (derived from IP address) and service address: Google Analytics (approximate location only).
- Electronic information (text message content): our phone and mobile carriers.
- Sensitive personal information: we do not collect it through the Site (see Section 2).
We have not sold or shared (for cross-context behavioral advertising) any of these categories in the past 12 months. Sources and purposes are described in Sections 1 and 2.
7. How to submit a request
- Call: (209) 523-5921
- Email: liquidsolutions909@gmail.com (please put "Privacy Request" in the subject line)
- Mail: Liquid Solutions Inc, Attn: Privacy Requests, 909 N Emerald Ave, Suite F, Modesto, CA 95351
Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request to know, delete, or correct. We will ask you to confirm details that match our records, such as your name, phone number, and service address. For requests to delete or to receive specific pieces of information, we may ask for an additional detail from our records. We will use the information you give us for verification only for that purpose. You do not need to create an account to make a request.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We may ask the agent for signed written permission from you and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.
Timing. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days), we will tell you why.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, our Site does not change its behavior in response to DNT signals. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable, treating a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser. Because we do not sell or share personal information, and we use Google Analytics 4 for measurement only, a GPC signal will not change your experience on the Site.
9. California "Shine the Light" law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets California residents ask for information about personal information a business disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. You may contact us using the information above with any questions.
10. Children's privacy
The Site and our services are intended for adults and homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone, including consumers under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Examples include keeping paper customer records in a secure location at our office, limiting access to customer records and our phone calendar to staff who need them, and using secure (HTTPS) connections on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive financial information, such as card or Social Security numbers, through our contact form, email, or text.
12. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites and services, including Google (Maps and reviews), Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Nextdoor, Enhancify, equipment manufacturers, and government water quality reports. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
13. California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
This Policy describes the categories of personal information we collect through the Site, the third parties we may share it with, how we respond to Do Not Track signals, whether third parties may collect information about your online activities on our Site (see "Embedded content and third-party tools" and "Cookies and analytics" above), how you can review and request changes to your information (Sections 6 and 7), and how we notify you of changes (Section 14).
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice on the Site. We review and update this Policy at least once every 12 months.
