River Islands: backwashing saltless only
River Islands sits west of I-5 inside Lathrop’s water recycling plant service area, where Lathrop Municipal Code Chapter 13.05 restricts new self-regenerating salt-based softeners. It reduces scale buildup on fixtures, shower glass and water heaters; it doesn’t soften the water, and the minerals stay in, so you may still see light spots that wipe off easily.
